The Montignac Origine makes a distinctly contemporary statement with its brown stainless steel case, subtly enhanced by gold-tone details. Its architectural dial plays with depth and contrast while combining a chronograph, a 24-hour indicator and a date window at 6 o’clock. Powered by a Japanese TMI VK64 quartz movement, it is completed by a brown Milanese mesh bracelet that sits comfortably on the wrist and reinforces its monochrome elegance. Designed and assembled in France, this watch asserts a distinctive, sophisticated and daring style.
The dial of the Montignac Origine is built in a succession of layers, combining a champagne-toned outer ring, a brown structure and silver-tone elements. In the background, the Maison’s imposing “M” extends across the composition, giving the model an instantly recognisable graphic signature. The chronograph minute counter at 9 o’clock is balanced by the 24-hour indicator at 3 o’clock, while the date window at 6 o’clock brings symmetry to the overall design. Despite this wealth of visual detail, the outer minute track and broad hour markers ensure that every indication remains easy to read.
At the heart of the Montignac Origine, the Japanese TMI VK64 quartz movement precisely controls the dial’s various functions. Its chronograph measures time to one-fifth of a second and records elapsed times of up to 60 minutes on the counter positioned at 9 o’clock. It also powers the 24-hour indicator at 3 o’clock and the date window at 6 o’clock. Reliable and requiring little maintenance, this calibre perfectly complements the model’s wealth of practical functions.
The Montignac Origine’s Milanese mesh bracelet echoes the brown tone of the case, creating a particularly elegant visual continuity. Its finely woven construction catches the light with every movement and contrasts subtly with the solid lines of the case. Measuring 26 mm in width, it naturally complements the watch’s generous proportions while sitting comfortably around the wrist. Its sliding clasp allows the length to be adjusted easily and precisely.
With a water resistance of 50 metres (5 ATM), the Montignac Origine is protected against splashes, rain and occasional contact with water. It can therefore be worn with confidence during everyday activities, including handwashing. However, it is not designed for showering, swimming or prolonged immersion. To preserve its water resistance over time, the crown and pushers should never be operated when the watch is wet.
